THE 2022 Lapu-Lapu City Fiesta League 2022 kicked off on Sunday, Sept. 11, 2022, with an opening parade at the City Hall grounds.
The tournament will have a series of sporting competitions featuring basketball, volleyball and softball. The champions will be feted in the upcoming Virgen de la Regla Feast Day in November.
Mayor Junard “Ahong” Chan underscored the importance of sportsmanship in his speech.
“Importante ang panaghigalaay,” he said. “May the best team win.”
City Councilor Janvi De la Serna and Sports Commissioner Vince Carungay led the activities of the opening ceremony.
Team Polok Squad played Net Rippers, while Vincent Drive faced DIY Rafa Group at the Lapu-Lapu City Auditorium Court 2 right after the opening ceremony.
