The Lakeshore to build arctic park for a winter-themed Christmas

MEXICO, Pampanga Central Country Estate Incorporated (CCEI), the developer of The Lakeshore, is set to build an arctic park for a winter-themed Christmas.

CCEI Chief Operating Officer Architect BJ Mangio said a portion of the lake will become an outdoor skating rink complete with ski lifts.

"People can enjoy ice skating by the lake and feel a different kind of Christmas once they are here at The Lakeshore," Mangio said during the real estate company's 22nd-anniversary celebration on September 8.

He added that there will be sled slides, globe tents that will simulate igloos, and a polar express train among others.

The architect said they will use an environment-friendly technology that uses low electricity and requires low maintenance similar to the one they use in Singapore for their skating rinks.

The "Arctic Park," which will be part of The Lakeshore's Christmas Park, is set to open this November.

Mangio’s father, CCEI Chief Executive Officer Nestor S. Mangio, was the architect behind the then-Paskuhan Village.

“It was always been my father’s passion to celebrate Christmas,” the young Mangio said.

Last week, The Lakeshore officially opened its Christmas Park complete with colorful lights and displays including a giant lantern, a gingerbread house, and huge Christmas tree decorations among others.

The Christmas Park is open daily from 8AM to 5PM.
