IN CELEBRATION of the 37th Kadayawan Festival, Davao-based company EMCOR. partnered with Lenovo Philippines to host a local Valorant Tournament open to all novice and experienced gamers in Davao.

Under this partnership, Lenovo Philippines provided over 600,000 worth of Lenovo Legion units complete with curved monitor setups for use during the event.

“Lenovo is one with EMCOR in empowering the youth, especially in the field of Esports as it helps students develop discipline and harness new skills. We have the technology to help make the gaming experience more competitive and enjoyable for our digital athletes, and we’re glad to have the opportunity to make it available here,” Lenovo Philippines President and Country General Manager, Michael Ngan said.

A large portion of Valorant’s player base is set in Southeast Asia, and as such, it is no surprise to see an abundance of local tournaments popping up all over the Philippines.

We did not just have any equipment, but the best gaming equipment that the market has to offer,” said EMCOR President and COO, Nelson M. Aparejo.

The tournament aimed to promote esports and competitive online gaming to the local youth community in Davao, whilst also aligning with the festivities of the 37th Kadayawan Festival celebrated annually.
