Arceo: KapiHann, what’s brewing?

Hann-ep! A slang for “unbelievable” or “outstanding” best describes what Hann Philippines, Inc. wants to achieve in Clark. Pardon the French but it fits!

Multi-billion dollar company Hann Philippines, Inc. led by its chairman and CEO Daesik Han will build Hann Lux - an integrated resort development that will house Sofitel Clark and Emblems Clark. Hann Lux will also feature high-end fashion stores, French-inspired cafes, and convention facilities, residences and commercial spaces. This is part of Hann Group’s additional US$2-billion investment in Clark.

Hann Reserve, another development by the Hann Group, is another venture inside New Clark City in Tarlac. It will be an “ultra-luxe mountain resort destination” featuring Banyan Tree Hotel – described as a “sanctuary for the senses” with pool villas and a tropical garden spa — and Angsana Hotel featuring more family-friendly recreational activities.

During the first edition of KapiHann at the Swissotel inside Hann Casino Resort in Clark on September 7, Hann Group’s AVP for Corporate Planning, Development and Communications Agnes “Neki” Liwanag confidently claimed that these developments will generate hundreds of jobs locally. Hann Group alone has at least 1,000 employees. And for every hotel with about 300 rooms like Sofotel, at least 200 workers are needed. So for four new hotels, the fast count would be at least 800 more jobs.

KapiHann by the way is a regular press conference held at Hann casino Resort every first Wednesday of the month. This is a joint media-engagement project of the Pampanga Press Club (PPC) and the Hann Group. KapiHann is a spin-off of Talk Widus.

The ‘Ber festivities are around the corner again. Except for the Tigtigan-Terakan Keng Dalan, all the funfare will be included in the 30th Fiestang Kuliat celebration this October. The Angeles City LGU recently released the list of events for the 2022 celebration with the theme “Kapagmasusian king Kuliat, Tapang at Tetagan da reng Angelenos''.

Elevating the resiliency of Angelenos in the face of the pandemic, the City government conjured a very apt theme with emphasis on the promotions of local culture, The festivities will include a cultural night at the Museo ning Angeles on October 15. Salute to the Kuliat Foundation Inc. headed by its president Lincoln M. Baluyut for taking the reigns at the heritage district and for fully supporting the Kuliat festivities.

Also particularly interesting is the Kambal Festival, a parade of twins that will be participated in by all barangays in Angeles City. The generous Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr. will be giving away P100,000 to the winning barangay. Hope this parade will be judged not for the quantity or number of participants but on the presentation and audience impact. It will be more entertaining and refreshing to witness a colorful parade where the participating twins actually perform or in costumes.

Mutya ning Angeles 2022, the highlight of Fiestang Kuliat, will provide a whooping P1 million worth of prizes to the crowned Mutya. This could be the first time for the Mutya ning Angeles to award such extravagant prizes. Thanks to the Beautederm ambassadors IC Calaguas, chief adviser to Mayor Lazatin, and Reina Bella Manuel for getting Beautederm as a major sponsor to the Mutya ning Angeles pageant.
