MOTORCYCLES with 110cc engine displacement are now allowed to pass the Cebu-Cordova Link Expressway (CCLEX) starting Wednesday, September 14, 2022.

Motorcycles with engine displacements of between 110cc and 399cc are classified as Vehicle Class M1, which have a toll rate of P60.

"The lowering of engine displacement from 125cc to 110cc is to answer the clamor of motorcycle users and make the expressway more inclusive and accessible to more road users," the Cebu Cordova Link Expressway Corporation (CCLEC) said in a statement.

The CCLEC management said they first conducted a study before coming up with a decision to allow the 110cc motorcycles to use the 8.9-kilometer bridge.

Earlier, the management of the third bridge linking mainland Cebu to Mactan Island only allowed 125cc motorcycles entry to CCLEX, enabling the drivers of small displacement motorcycles coming from Talisay City and southernmost part to use either the old Mactan-Mandaue Bridge or the Marcelo Fernan Bridge in going to their destination.

The owners of 110cc motorcycles can now apply for CCLEX RFID stickers at the CCLEX Customer Service Centers toll plaza near Anjo World in Minglanilla town and Landers Superstore in Barangay Mabolo, Cebu City.

They can reload their RFID stickers by downloading the MPT DriveHub through https://qrco.de/DriveHubPR-1 or at the CCLEX Customer Service Centers. (PAC, TPT)
