CITY OF SAN FERNANDO Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda led the distribution of the second batch of service vehicles to barangay officials on Wednesday.

The project is part of the provincial government’s commitment to improving the capabilities of barangays in responding to emergencies and other concerns.

The capitol has distributed a total of 195 service vehicles with the help of the General Services Office.

The barangay captains thanked the provincial officials for the service vehicles.

They said the vehicles will help in the transportation residents who are sick and need medical attention.

The governor handed symbolic keys to barangay officials at the Bren Z. Guiao Convention Center in San Fernando City.

“These barangay service vehicles are intended to provide transportation services to our cabalen, especially to those living in far-flung areas and in need of immediate medical assistance,” Pineda said.

He said the project will not not materialize without the support of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan headed by Pampanga Vice Governor Lilia Pineda.

“We upgraded your transport services to vans so that our cabalens could travel in comfort. Please make the best use of them for the benefit of our constituents,” Pineda said.

“Make the vehicles available 24/7 to our cabalens,” he added.

The governor asked barangay officials to include the maintenance of the service vehicles in their respective annual budgets.
