AS Davao City strengthens its MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) position in the country, budget hotel Go Hotels Lanang-Davao eyes to open more function rooms to accommodate more Mice events here.

Operations Manager for Visayas and Mindanao Rem Salazar shared in a recent press event that they plan to open two smaller function rooms for intimate meetings and celebrations.

“At present we have our Kadayawan function room that can accommodate 80 to 100 guests. The two rooms that we plan to open soon are at 296 square meters. These rooms make it the ideal venue for business meetings, conferences, and any other social events," Salazar said.

Salazar, however, did not share the timeline of the plan.

Gearing for the upcoming Philippine MICE Conference (MICECon) on November 16-18, 2022, Go Hotel Lanang is expecting 80 percent occupancy for the three-day event.

The hotel’s regional sales manager for Mindanao Jennyflor Lopez Villafuerte, who also serves as the Davao Hotels Resorts Sales and Marketing Association (HRSMA), Inc. president, said their strategic location gave the property a better position compared to its competitors. Go Hotels Lanang is nearby SMX Convention Center, airport, shopping centers, restaurants and bars, hospitals, and other tourist-friendly facilities.

The hotel, located within the Phoenix Complex, Km 7, JP Laurel Avenue in Lanang, has 183 rooms equipped with chiropractic and hypoallergenic pillows, safety deposit box, and Wi-Fi access.

Meanwhile, Salazar said part of the hotel chain’s effort to better the experience of its guests, a self-check-in kiosk will be available in Go Hotels Lanang first quarter of 2023.

“This will allow guests to expedite more routine tasks like booking, check-ins, checkouts, and room service requests,” she said.

Go Hotels, one of the leading budget hotel chains in the Philippines under Robinsons Land Corporation, has branches in Bacolod City, North Edsa-Quezon City, Timog-Quezon City, Ermita-Manila, Otis-Manila, Mandaluyong, Ortigas Center, Butuan, Tacloban, Manila Airport Road, Puerto Princesa, Iloilo, lligan and Dumaguete.
