CITY OF SAN FERNANDO - Veteran broadcast journalist John Susi, known to the media circle as the "key" for his in-depth analysis and balanced news reporting on air, joined His Creator on September 16, 2022 in peace at 57.

John, a renowned reporter and journalist, kept his eyes on issues in Pampanga, starting a career with CLTV36 news and opinion programs, venturing thereon to others like his daily shows on local radio and TV, culminating with spiels at regional network GNN Philippines.

A source close to SunStar Pampanga and friends at GNN, the last network he was in, said the broadcast journalist turned politico succumbed to cardiac arrest, the second in a while's time.

It was, the sources said, the second fatal attack and that efforts to revive him proved futile at his home.

"We are very much aggrieved and sorry for the passing of John. It was the second attack and we are sad about this. Details of the internment will be announced soon," said the source.

Susi was an evident figure in Pampanga events as a media practitioner until he ventured into politics, claiming a seat at the Lubao municipal government council.

From thereon, he made a bid for a seat at the City of San Fernando City Council, where he lost by marginal votes due to alleged “material misrepresentation,” according to the Comelec.

The case was later on resolved and Susi persevered to fulfill his dreams of serving Kapampangans.

SunStar Pampanga condoles sincerely with the loved ones of Susi.
