Gipanghimakak ni kanhi Gilas Pilipinas coach Tab Baldwin nga siya maoy responsable nga daghang Pinoy nga mga basketbolista ang nagduwa na sa nagkadaiyang liga sa ubang mga nasod.
Sa interbyu sa Power and Play online radio, gipasabot ni Baldwin nga dili siya ang naghikay aron makasulod ang Pinoyng mga basketbolista sa liga sa ubang mga nasod sama sa Japan B.League.
Kining maong panghitabo nakaapekto sa programa sa Gilas Pilipinas.
“That’s absolute nonsense. I don’t want those players to leave the Gilas program,” batbat ni Baldwin nga napatik sa Spin.ph.
“As far as their decision about their future, I want players to have options and I want them to be free to exercise their options. It its not my best interest, it is not the best interest of the PBA that players go overseas.”
Niadtong Hulyo, 2022, ang Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas (SBP) nipasangil ni Baldwin nga maoy hinungdan sa mangil-ad nga kampanya sa Gilas Pilipinas sa international tournaments nga gisalmotan niini.
“Honestly, the predicament that we are in today is because of Tab,” matod pa ni SBP president Al Panlilio.
“He started losing players, (Baldwin) didn’t want to coach the February window.”
