Having laid out more than 600,000 fiber ports in the Central and Southern Philippines in the first seven months of the year is quite an achievement. Impressive and phenomenal!

Converge ICT Solutions Inc., a leading fiber broadband provider, continues to rapidly expand its footprint in the Visayas and Mindanao regions.

“This means that we have nearly doubled our fiber footprint in this region in just seven months from our original 300,000 ports rolled out at year-end 2021,” said Converge chief executive officer Dennis Anthony Uy.

As a commitment to the growing customer base in these areas, Converge opened business centers in key locations in Cebu. Its regional head office and first business center is now in Mandaue City.

At present, Converge, together with its Marketing Services Provider (MSP) JFiber Internet Services Corp., opened the new Cebu City Business Center located at One Central Mall, Cebu City. This strategic partnership with the local MSP, owned by Cebu businessman Justin Uy, is in tandem with the fiber operator’s “Go Deep” strategy. This will ensure that Converge strengthens its provincial operations.

The entire Converge Management remains bullish on the huge VisMin market and recognizes the massive potential of Cebu. They have observed the constant clamoring from customers for world-class fiber connectivity.

“Justin and I share the same vision of uplifting the lives of our Kababayans by providing them global connectivity. Under his leadership, I am sure Converge will enable us to win more subscribers and provide maximum client support that is akin to local market needs,” Dennis Anthony Uy said.

The Visayas and Mindanao regions are increasingly becoming a vital growth area for the company for as the economy is revived, it sees much opportunity in the SME Enterprise segment, which increased by 26 percent during the first six months of 2022.

Converge recently bagged major connectivity contracts in the Visayas, boosting the local tourism economy’s transition to digital. Among them, we cite Cebu’s JPark Island Resort and Waterpark, Sarrosa Hotel and bai Hotel which are now fiber-powered.
