THE Cebu City Government partnered with the business sector to help rehabilitate classrooms in Banilad Elementary School on Friday, September 23, 2022.

The Cebu City Local School Board and Rotary Club of Banilad led the turnover of the newly repaired classrooms that were damaged during the onslaught of Typhoon Odette (Rai) in December 2021.

LSB Public Relations Officer Gyle Ombajin told SunStar Cebu that their office provided P262,000 for the purchase of construction materials necessary for the repair of the rooms.

Ombajin said that 33 public schools in the city still need repair but he noted that these structures only need minor works.

He added that they are now working on the speedy rehabilitation of the damaged classrooms and their office hoped to finish the repairs by November 2022. (IRT)
