Devanadera vows "ease of doing business in Clark"

CLARK FREEPORT Newly-installed Clark Development Corporation President and Chief Executive President Agnes Devanadera vows to improve what they call "ease of doing business" in this Freeport.

Devanadera said she will revisit the business process including the application for permits in Clark along with the local government units around the Freeport.

“It takes a long time before we could process permits and licenses. In other countries, everything is automated,” she said during her first briefing with members of the Pampanga media on Friday, September 23.

“The thrust now internally of Clark is to review these processes and automate as much as we can. We will try to do away with human intervention to make processes faster,” she added.

She also said business application forms should be downloadable and will be made available at one-stop-shops in shopping malls.

“We are also reviewing the budget to support plans for ease of doing business in Clark,” Devanadera said.

Before joining Clark Development Corporation, Devanadera was appointed by President Rodrigo R. Duterte as the Chairperson and Chief Executive Officer of the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) on November 22, 2017 and completed her term last July 10, 2022.

Devanadera is not new to government service. Her career track has spanned decades in government service occupying various positions in the government bureaucracy starting as a local chief executive of Sampaloc, Quezon after the EDSA Revolution.

She also served as solicitor general and justice secretary.
