THE Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in Negros Occidental has dismantled a suspected drug den and arrested three persons at Barangay 19 in Bacolod City at about 5 p.m. Thursday, September 22.

Arrested were Dionesio Oleta, 54, a resident of Purok Kabugwason, Barangay Mansilingan; Ronalyn Lachica, 27, of Barangay 19; and Allain Rubio, 32, of Barangay 22, all in Bacolod City.

The suspects were arrested after one of them sold a sachet of shabu to a poseur buyer, the PDEA said.

PDEA records showed that Oleta was identified as the suspected drug den maintainer in the barangay.

Recovered during the operation were nine sachets of suspected shabu weighing 13 grams with an estimated market value of P88,400, the marked money, and drug paraphernalia.

The suspects are detained at the custodial facility of the PDEA and are facing charges for violation of Sections 5, 6, 7, 11, and 12 of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
