A SEXAGENARIAN was shot dead inside his house in Sitio Mahayahay, Barangay Maslog in Danao City, Cebu on Friday night, September 23, 2022.
The victim was identified as 68-year-old Saturnino Mansueto.
He was shot in the head and in different parts of the body by a still unidentified gunman around 7:50 p.m.
According to Corporal Mark Anthony Manulat of the Danao City Police Station, they received a call from a concerned citizen around 8:20 p.m. to report the incident.
When police arrived at the scene, they saw the victim’s bullet-ridden body on the floor.
Based on their initial investigation, Mansueto was watching TV when he heard a knock on the door. When he opened it, the gunman shot him in the head. The gunman then continued to shoot him when he fell to the ground.
Police are still trying to determine the motive for the shooting. (GPL)
