Candaba dad aids ‘Karding’ victims

CANDABA Councilor Rene “RamJ” Maglanque Jr. of this town provided immediate assistance to victims of typhoon “Karding” on Sunday evening.

Maglanque visited evacuation centers at the height of the onslaught of typhoon “Karding” on Sunday evening to check on the situation of displaced families.

He expressed gratitude to the families for their cooperation with the local government by voluntarily and preemptively leaving their houses for their own safety.

“Dinalhan ko po sila ng lugaw at tubig para may makain silang mainit sa malamig na panahon. ‘Yung ibang pangangailangan po nila ay susubukan po natin ibigay sa tulong ng munisipyo,” Maglanque said.

The rookie councilor also led the inspection and monitoring of the effects of typhoon “Karding” in the municipality on Monday morning.

Maglanque checked on the situation of flooded areas, the major thoroughfares in town and the water level of Pampanga River.

“Number 1 priority po natin ang kaligtasan ng bawat Candabeño. Nagreport rin po tayo kay Mayor Rene Maglanque para po sa agad na aksyon ng munisipyo,” he said.

As of yesterday noon, 15 barangays in this town were submerged in up to four feet of flood.

A total of 28 families or 132 individuals have taken temporary shelter in evacuation centers three barangays.
