Fried chicken joint 24 Chicken Delivery—one that specializes in Korean-flavored boneless chicken—first opened its doors to the Cebuano masses earlier this year. Just recently, it opened its second branch in Cebu at The Strip on Osmeña Blvd., Cebu City.

It’s no secret how Korean culture has influenced the world; one of the most popular dishes in Korea aside from samgyupsal (grilled meat), is its fried chicken. The founder, Mark Gerald Ong, along with his partners, Jeff Sy and Jefferson Uy found inspiration while on a holiday in South Korea. With that inkling of inspiration, 24 Chicken was born.

It started merely as a take-out stand on Taft Avenue, Pampanga. Now, it has taken the country by storm with its scrumptious and mouth-watering menu items. It currently has 25 branches nationwide.

24 Chicken’s best sellers are the Jack Daniel’s flavored chicken—a tangy, barbecue flavor that perfectly melds sweetness and a little bit of a spicy kick. Another must-try from the menu is its Snow Cheese Chicken, a perfect treat for cheese lovers.

The crispy, juicy fried chicken is covered in cheese powder and you taste heaven in every bite.

If you’re looking for something relatively similar to the delicious “pulutan” you see in Korean dramas, then the Yangnyeom chicken is for you. With its sweet, savory and spicy flavor, you will be left wanting more.

The kimchi fried rice is the perfect pair for any of the chicken flavors. With a fried egg on top, what more can you ask for? If you’re feeling snacky and you think pairing rice with the chicken is too much, you can always opt for its Cajun fries, a well-seasoned salty treat with the right amount of spice.

24 Chicken’s new branch is located at The Strip, Osmeña Boulevard, Cebu City. It is open daily, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
