MACABEBE This municipality has been placed under state of calamity on Tuesday afternoon following the onslaught of typhoon “Karding.”
The Sangguniang Bayan made the declaration through the approval of Resolution No. 30 S. 2022-2025.
The resolution noted that typhoon “Karding” exacerbated the monsoon flooding combined with high tide levels which has been experienced by the 12 barangays here in the past three months.
The onslaught of “Karding” also caused 125 families here to seek temporary shelter on evacuation centers.
The local government said it is set to provide relief and assistance to affected residents in the coming days.
