The night will always hold a special place in many people’s hearts. The world comes alive as the sun dips down and the night emerges in its full glory. People who go to the Carbon Night Market are some of the night owls who enjoy anything and everything after the sun sets.

For almost two years, the world was almost at full stop and the pandemic was in full swing but with things slowly adjusting to the new normal, evenings are starting to stir the excitement that it once held before the world shutdown. On June 24, the Carbon Night Market opened its doors to the public.

The Carbon Night Market, managed by Cebu2world, is now open three times a week.

It boasts of a life of its own where some of Cebu’s best delicacies are served hot and fresh. It is an open-air market located in the heart of Cebu. It is hard to miss, and there are endless choices of local goods for everyone to try out and enjoy all night long. Aside from the slew of Filipino/Cebuano delicacies available, one must try these highlights sold in a few stalls: Tsoko Specialty Drinks, TakoTako Queen, and Cebu’s best, the famous lechon.

Formerly known as the Carbon Sunday Market, the Carbon Night Market has expanded and now serves both Cebuano and international cuisines that everyone will love and enjoy such as American, Japanese and Korean goods. There is always something to look forward to every week as there are new stalls popping up ready to serve and provide the public with a unique experience.

The Carbon Night Market is where a lot of the Cebuanos believe that the city is truly alive. Other than the amazing Cebuano and international culinary experience that they have in store, the night market also provides tarot reading, henna tattooing services, and live portrait sketching. Beautiful warm lights provide a welcoming ambiance as well as a live acoustic band to serenade those who are enjoying the night away.

There is no other way to wrap up the week by having an evening night out with families and friends than to dine and go around the Carbon Night Market. Experience what Cebu has to offer and take a fun night out! It will be open to the public three times a week from Friday to Sunday. S
