Much like the player that is displayed prominently on it, Macmac Tallo’s billboard on Sergio Osmeña Boulevard looms large and symbolizes the culmination of months of hard work for the former Southwestern University star.

With the Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas FIBA 3x3 World Tour Cebu Masters set to kick off on Saturday at the SM Seaside City Cebu, Tallo saw the billboard a few nights ago and was in awe.

After all, it wasn’t too long ago when he bounced from the PBA to the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League. Now, he has found a home and a fruitful career in Chooks-to-Go 3x3 and it’s paying dividends.

“Since I started my career as a basketball player. Siyempre kahit sino naman gusto na ma billboard ka. Dream yan lahat ng athlete kasi for me it’s a milestone for an athlete,” said the country’s top 3x3 player.

“Kaya sobrang big deal sa akin kasi bata pa lang talaga ako gusto ko na talaga makita sarili ko sa billboard,” Tallo added.

It’s been a long road back for Tallo who’s spent years shedding excess weight and gaining more skills to become the best 3x3 player the country has to offer.

“Ibig sabihin nagbubunga na yung hard work and sacrifices mo,” said Tallo of the billboard’s meaning to him. “God is good talaga! Thankful talaga ako sa Chooks-to-Go!”
