San Fernando dialysis center to open first week of October

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO The city government of San Fernando said that the hemodialysis center at the City Civic Center in Barangay San Isidro is set to open within the first week of October this year.

The center will serve Fernandino patients after the necessary permits to operate were secured.

This, after the city government and its partner firm Luzon Medical System delivered on September 28 the dialysis machines, chairs, and equipment which will be used at the center.

Mayor Vilma Caluag prioritized the free hemodialysis program for Fernandinos, realized in less than 100 days following the mayor's assumption in office.

A total of 25 machines and 25 chairs will be used for the center’s initial operations that can accommodate up to 75 patients per day.

The ground floor of the center consists of the treatment, reprocessing, and reverse osmosis system areas while a portion of the second floor houses the administrative office, along with stock, wash, and pantry areas.

The remaining portion of the second floor will be reserved for the center’s expansion which will host additional machines and chairs.

The registration of dialysis patients is ongoing, according to the mayor.

The City Health Office advised patients to bring photocopies of their medical certificate (old or recent), medical prescription and valid ID or barangay certification/clearance/indigency.
