FINALLY, the S&R Membership Shopping will be constructed soon along Breadco Port Reclamation in Bacolod City.
This, after Mayor Alfredo Abelardo Benitez signed a contract of lease with the lot owner So Ha Uy and S&R President Anthony Sy Friday, September 30, 2022, at the Preska Restaurant in Barangay Estefania.
Benitez said the timing is good because Bacolod City is really poised for a strong economic comeback.
He said that S&R will rent the lot of Bacolod because their proposed building will occupy the road lot owned by the city government.
“They will rent it, exactly on the same terms as the private owner adjacent to the city’s property,” he added.
For his part, Sy also expressed his gratitude to Benitez and the members of the City Council.
“We want to personally thank Mayor Benitez and our business partners for welcoming S&R Membership Shopping to Bacolod City. We are very excited to finally be able to serve our S&R Members here in Bacolod, in their very own City of Smiles,” Sy said.
He said it is timely and fortunate for them to be welcomed by Mayor Benitez himself, to announce the signing of the opening of S&R Bacolod.
“With your leadership, we are happy that we are able to get back to our pre-pandemic traditions starting with the celebration of the MassKara Festival. At S&R, we are equally excited to start new traditions here in Bacolod, as we bring a world-class membership shopping experience here for families and institutions to enjoy,” he added.
