2,000 marijuana plants uprooted in Toledo

UP TO 2,000 marijuana plants amounting to P800,000 were uprooted by operatives of the 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC) of the Cebu Police Provincial Office at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, October 6, 2022, in the mountain barangay of General Climaco in Toledo City, midwest Cebu.

The alleged cultivator of the marijuana plantation, Christopher CaƱaliso, 37, was arrested, while his cohorts, including Felix Labaso, fled after sensing the presence of policemen.

Brigadier General Roque Eduardo Vega, regional director of the Police Regional Office-Central Visayas, lauded the PMFC personnel for their accomplishment in the campaign against illegal drugs. (AYB, TPT)
