A MAN was stabbed dead inside a waiting shed in Purok 5, Barangay Montana, Baclayon town, Bohol at past noon on Saturday, October 8, 2022.
The victim was identified as 56-year-old Gaudioso Pamis, a resident of Purok 4, Barangay San Roque in the same town.
The suspect was his drinking partner, 67-year-old Virgilo Talictic, a resident of Barangay Montana.
According to Corporal Protacio Man-on, desk officer of the Baclayon Police Station, the two had been drinking since Friday night, October 7.
Police found two empty liquor bottles at the scene.
They arrested Talictic a few hours later during a hot pursuit operation.
During questioning, the suspect told police that Pamis had struck him with a rock after they had an altercation on Saturday morning. He didn’t fight back and instead went home when Pamis fell asleep. He returned with a knife and stabbed the victim several times, which caused the latter’s death.
Man-on said a mutual friend of the victim and suspect told him the two were always quarreling even though they had been friends for a long time.
