LGUs adorn pavilions with MassKara festival ambiance

SOME local government units in the Province of Negros Occidental have adorned their respective pavilions with MassKara festival ambiance.

Getting the model from the Bacolod City Government-inspired pavilion, some LGUs showcased their pavilions with some MassKara festival masks and decors to create an ambiance that is attuned to the MassKara sa Pana-ad themed festival.

Many of these pavilions were spruced with decorations that blended with Bacolod’s grandest MassKara festival with a new twist - the collaboration of the towns and cities in the province to Bacolod’s MassKara festival.

Negros Occidental Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson and Bacolod City Mayor Alfredo Abelardo Benitez led the opening of the MassKara sa Pana-ad which kicked off on October 10 to 16.

The Bacolod City pavilion has two giant masks that welcomed guests to the city’s pavilion.

It also showcased the products and souvenir items from the Bacolod City Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) such as the small Christmas decors and other items.

The famous piaya is also being made in a booth inside the Bacolod City Pana-ad Pavilion premise.

This first time that Bacolod City, being the capital city of the province of Negros Occidental, has opened its doors to her fellow LGUs to collaborate with her in the adding color to the grandest festival.

The local government of Sipalay City was among the many LGUs in the Province of Negros Occidental which joined the MassKara festival so Pana-ad from October 10 to 16, 2022.

The participation of the Sipalay city under Mayor Maria Gina Lizares is in response to the call of the Negros Occidental provincial government officials led by Lacson to support Bacolod City's MassKara Festival 2022 under the leadership of Mayor Benitez.

“Kari na sa Masskara sa Panaad with Wow Sipalay promoting its safe and Sustainable Sipalay with their various products being displayed at the pavilion,” she said.

Escalante City’s Miss Manlambus Festival queen Catherine Pearl Lopez with Miss Marace Salo, Miss Manlambus Charity were the first to be present at their city’s pavilion at the Pana-ad Park and Stadium.

They were with JE Guilaran, City Tourism Office of Escalante.

They said that it’s good that they participated in the MassKara festival and also enjoyed the festivities of Bacolod City.
