TO CATER to Dabawenyos' growing demand for fitness and active lifestyle, homegrown gym brand Elevation Fitness Gym (Elevation) opens a new branch in Lanang, Davao City.
The Lanang branch, just beside Acacia Hotel Davao, is the brand’s fourth branch.
One of Elevation’s owners, Johnson Uy, told SunStar Davao in an interview during its launching last September 17 that they want to establish a presence in most key areas in the city.
“Location-wise, we want to cover the whole of Davao (City). We want to help everyone to be more physically fit, have a healthy lifestyle. This has been our purpose and the very reason why we opened Elevation some five years ago,” he said.
Elevation started with its Sta. Ana branch in 2017.
“Our rate is affordable. We want to help people realize their fitness goals. Many gyms here are at premium prices but around the same quality of equipment as ours. We want to be more accessible to the public,” he shared, adding they invested in the gym’s equipment to give customers a premium experience.
Other branches of this homegrown brand are located in Buhangin and Quimpo Boulevard - Ecoland. The Lanang branch, which is 350 square meters big, can accommodate 150 individuals at a time.
“The lifestyles of Dabawenyos are improving because they are now very active and health-conscious. There is really that urge to continuously look for ways to get fit,” Uy added.
For all its four branches, Elevation is now around 3,000-member strong.
“We expect to grow our community more. Hopefully, in the first quarter of next year, we’ll be able to open another branch in the city,” co-owner Justin Lu shared.
Elevation’s regular membership is at P1,000 per month, but if one signs up for a multiple months-package, it can go lower to P700 per month or less. Elevation Fitness Gyms are open Mondays to Saturdays from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.
