VXI Global Solutions, a leading business process outsourcing and customer service provider, unveiled its fifth site in Davao City, cementing its current legacy as the largest employer in the region, which the company dubbed as Davao Domination.

The new location located at SP Dacudao Loop, Agdao, Davao Park District, will add to VXI’s over 40 global service locations and generate new job opportunities for citizens in the region.

Eppie Titong, VXI Senior Vice President and Country Manager, said that the new site only connotes that the company continues to grow in the region.

“Our standing as the largest employer in this region not only allows us to employ and provide a livelihood to thousands of Dabawenyos and their families, but also contribute to the growth and development of the community at large," Titong said.

VXI's Vice President for Operations Jamie Salazar said that they choose the region in its expansion over other places in the Philippines because of various factors, topping the list is "the richness of the talent here in Davao as well as its culture and the Davao weather."

"Aside from that is the existing great performance of the local governance in Davao," Salazar said.

Titong added that they chose "Davao Domination" as VXI is the largest employer in Davao among all private sector employers here, thanking the Davao City government for allowing the company to thrive in a competitive environment.

Along with the expansion, VXI plans to hire over a thousand local talents to add up to their existing 7,000 plus strong workforce from their four other sites in Davao, namely SM Ecoland, Felcris Centrale, Robinsons Cybergate, and Robinsons Cybergate Delta.

With this, the Davao City Investment Promotion Center (DCIPC) has recently recognized VXI Davao for its outstanding contributions to the success of the city’s economic development programs.

Meanwhile, Titong expressed his outlook for the BPO industry not only in Davao City but the whole country as "very strong and very bullish" with continuous growth.

"Even amidst the pandemic, the BPO is growing among all the other industries which have been impacted by the pandemic. The IT and BPO industry remained flat and steady and VXI in particular was able not just to survive but we grew by 10 to 15%," he said.

Salazar added that in fact, during the pandemic, VXI was able to launch two sites in Davao City, its third and fourth site.

Meanwhile, in a statement sent to the company during the event, Davao City Mayor Sebastian Duterte said the city government recognizes VXI's "invaluable contribution to the economic recovery and creation of stable jobs in the city," as he congratulates the company on the inauguration of its new site.

“VXI is one of the first BPO companies who believed in the talent of Davaoenos and we are in full support of their expansion as they showcase local capabilities at the world stage,” Duterte said.

Vice President Sara Duterte reiterated Mayor Baste's words, thanking VXI for its "constant trust in expanding your footprint in the country and putting our cities on the global map as competitive investment areas with highly skilled, technology-literate professionals."

VXI Global Solutions was founded in 1998 with over 40,000 employees in more than 40 locations in North America, Asia, Europe, and the Caribbean.

Davao Domination was attended by Davao City Councilor Bernie Al-ag, chairperson of the committees on trade, commerce, & industry, and on labor & employment opportunities, representing Mayor Duterte, aside from members of the VXI executive team Titong and VP Salazar. CEA with PR
