THE Army’s 1st Infantry “Tabak” Division (ID) welcomed and recognized the newly assigned officer to the command during the Monday, October 17, flag-raising ceremony at Camp Cesar Sang-an in Labangan, Zamboanga del Sur.
The newly assigned officer to the 1ID is Major Lito Salanguste, a member of the Officer’s Candidate Course Class 2005.
Salanguste has a Master in Public Management Program majoring in Development and Security at the Development Academy of the Philippines.
Salanguste expressed his gratitude for welcoming him as a new “Tabak” trooper.
Brigadier General Jose Randolf Sino Cruz, 1ID assistant division commander, led the pinning of the Tabak patch as a welcome gesture to the newly assigned trooper.
Meanwhile, Colonel Lourdes Guevarra, chief of the Office of the Army Gender and Development, paid a courtesy visit Monday, October 17, to the 1ID.
Guevarra and her party were received by Sino Cruz at the Division Hall of Flags.
The visit of Guevarra is to support the 1ID’s mission fulfillment in regard to the Gender and Development Assessment. (SunStar Zamboanga)
