THE City Government of Zamboanga is now finalizing preparations for the opening of the Pasonanca swimming pools – the Rotary and the children’s swimming pools next week.
This, as the repair for the facilities is now over 90 percent completed.
Engineer Rene De la Cruz, City General Services Office chief, said the repair works to include repainting of the pools and rehabilitation of the comfort rooms, cottages and kiosks among others have achieved over 90 percent and would be fully completed within the week.
De la Cruz said that the operating hours of the pools will be from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. from Friday until Tuesday, as Wednesday and Thursday will be devoted to cleaning operations.
He said that his office will deploy a 12-man team to man the facility. Also to be assigned in the area will be lifeguards and security personnel.
He added that the Pasonanca swimming pools have 12 cottages and kiosks.
Located within the Pasonanca Park, the swimming pools are favorite gathering place for locals to include tourists. (SunStar Zamboanga)
