A SEPTUAGENARIAN was killed while another was wounded in a highway collision in the province of Zamboanga Sibugay, the police reported Friday, October 21, 2022.
The Zamboanga Sibugay Police Provincial Office identified the fatality as Ernesto Tutor, 68, a resident of Nazareth village, Kabasalan town.
Wounded was Roy Tutot, 24. He sustained minor injuries.
The police said the victims were aboard a van driven by Roy and was traveling from Kabasalan to Imelda at the time of the incident.
The police said the victims’ vehicle was bumped by a truck that made a U-turn and was engaged in a reverse gear. The truck was driven by Elmer Sabijon, 20
The police said Ernesto was rushed to the hospital but was declared dead by the attending physician. (SunStar Zamboanga)
