2 watchlisted suspects nabbed in Zamboanga anti-drug sting

POLICE operatives have arrested two watchlisted suspects in separate anti-drug operations in Zamboanga City, an official said Saturday, October 22, 2022.

Police Colonel Alexander Lorenzo, Zamboanga City Police Office director, identified the arrested watchlisted suspects as Jimpson Tinaan, Jr., 42, and Felipe Villavito, 32.

Lorenzo said that Tinaan was arrested in a buy-bust operation around 8:40 p.m. Friday, October 21, in Sitio Presa Mayor, Tumaga village, Zamboanga City.

He said that seized from Tinaan were 0.8 grams of suspected shabu packed in nine heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets worth P5,440 and P400 marked money.

Lorenzo said that Villavito was arrested in an anti-drug operation around 8:57 p.m. Friday, October 21, along Campaner Street in Zone 3 villages, Zamboanga City.

He said seized from the possession of Villavito were some three grams of suspected shabu packed in five heat-sealed plastic sachets worth P20,400 and P200 marked money.

Lorenzo said the two arrested suspects were detained while charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 are set to be filed against them. (SunStar Zamboanga)
