AUTHORITIES have arrested one of the most wanted persons in the province of Zamboanga del Norte in a law enforcement operation, the police reported Monday, October 24, 2022.
The Zamboanga del Norte Provincial Police Office identified the arrested wanted person as Marcelo Maglangit, 62, a resident of Seriac village, Siayan.
The police said that Maglangit was arrested in a law enforcement operation by way of service of warrant of arrest around 2:50 p.m. Saturday, October 22, in his residence in Serian village.
The police said that Maglangit has standing warrant of arrest for two counts rape with P200,000 bail issued on August 10, 2022 by the court of Dipolog City, Zamboanga del Norte.
The police said that Maglangit is the number eight most wanted person in the town of Siayan.
The arrested suspect is now under the custody of Siayan Municipal Police Station for proper disposition. (SunStar Zamboanga)
