THE Davao City Public Safety and Security Command Office (PSSCO) said ‘no significant incidents’ occurred during the observance of Undas 2022 but intercepted liquors upon entry into the public cemeteries.

PSSC Head, Angel Sumagaysay, said most of the minor incidents they have encountered are the violators of liquor ban inside the cemeteries.

“During their entry sa sulod sa mga sementeryo, kaning mga imnonon gihapon, maong halin kaayo ang Tanduay, may mga ladies drink (Before they enter the cemetery, we intercepted liquor like Tanduay and ladies drink),” Sumagaysay said.

He said there were also people bringing "sundang" or daggers to clean their loved one’s graves. But Sumagaysay said they already reminded the public ahead of the commemoration to clean it beforehand, so they did not allow bringing in the daggers as it is prohibited.

Also, he said barangay health workers and the City Health Office are also visible to respond in case of emergency.

“So far wala man gyud tay natala nga nahitabo gyud nga grabi but normal katong magpa-BP,” Sumagaysay said.

In terms of the traffic system, he said the City Transport and Traffic Management Office (CTTMO) personnel were there and had tried their best to manage it.

Sumagaysay said security clusters will still monitor the cemeteries until November 3, 2022.

“Although, kung sa ground commanders pagtan-aw nila gamay medyo nalang ang [gaadto], hinay nila i-pull out ang tropa dili biglaon kay basin naa pay gusto moadto sa mga sementeryo (If the ground commanders will see that there are only a few people who will visit the cemeteries, they will eventually pull out the troops because there might still people who want to visit the cemeteries at that time),” Sumagaysay said.
