(Smart) nidonar og all-in-one emergency communication package nga #LigtasKit Isla sa Siquijor aron matabangan ang probinsya nga makaandam sa mga emerhensiya sama sa bagyo, flashfloods, linog, ug uban pa.
Ang PLDT-Smart Ligtas Kit nagtinguha sa pagsuporta sa local government units (LGU) ug disaster response nga mga ahensya gamit ang emergency communication devices.
Ang kit nagdala sa mosunod: power station, solar panel, rechargeable handy megaphone, crank radio, satellite phone (SmartSAT) nga adunay inisyal nga load, smartphone, Smart LTE pocket Wi-Fi, rechargeable flashlight, ug whistle.
“Coastal communities such as the Island of Siquijor have become more vulnerable to natural crises such as typhoons due to climate change. We at PLDT and Smart through our Disaster Resilience initiatives, we are able to support Siquijor’s disaster preparedness initiatives through our emergency communication package, Ligtas Kit,” matud ni Marylou Gocotano, head sa Visayas Relations under Stakeholder Management at PLDT and Smart.

Ang dugay na nga #SafeandSmart adbokasiya sa PLDT ug Smart nagpasiugda sa pasalig sa grupo sa pagkab-ot sa UNSDGs, ilabi na sa SDG #11: Sustainable Cities and Communities, nga nagtinguha sa pagpalambo sa kaandam ug diha-diha nga pagtubag pinaagi sa padayon nga accessibility sa mga serbisyo sa komunikasyon, mobile solutions, ug mga kalihokan sa pagtabang sa mga komunidad sa pagpagaan sa mga risgo sa kalamidad.
