AUTHORITIES have arrested a woman in a law enforcement operation dubbed as Oplan Mega Shopper in the province of Zamboanga del Sur, the police reported Tuesday, November 8, 2022.
Arrested in Oplan Mega Shopper campaign was Anacelyn Paalisbo, 43, according to Police Lieutenant Colonel Rex Perocho, chief of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG)-Zamboanga del Sur Provincial Field Office.
Perocho said Paalisbo was arrested in possession of smuggled cigarettes around 11:45 p.m. Monday, November 7, at Purok Water Lily in Poblacion village, Margosatubig, Zamboanga del Sur.
Oplan Mega Shopper is the CIDG’s campaign plan against individuals selling smuggled goods and counterfeit products.
Perocho said seized from Paalisbo’s possession were four master cases and 25 reams of assorted smuggled cigarettes worth P63,950. (SunStar Zamboanga)
