THE Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) has implemented changes in the leadership of one of the brigades under the Army’s 1st Infantry Division (ID).

Colonel Bill Dela Rosa was installed as the new commander of the 103rd Infantry “Haribon” Brigade based in Kampo Ranao, Marawi City, Lanao del Sur.

Dela Rosa succeeded Brigadier General Jose Maria Cuerpo II, who is now the new deputy chief of staff for personnel of the AFP.

Brigadier General Antonio Nafarrete, 1ID commander, presided over the change of command ceremony held Sunday, November 6, in Kampo Ranao.

Nafarrete expressed his admiration for the accomplishments and dedication of Cuerpo during his stint as the 103rd Infantry Brigade commander for more than three years.

The change of command ceremony was attended by top provincial government, military and police officials as well as enlisted personnel of the brigade.

Nafarrete has extended his gratitude for their unwavering support of all 1ID activities and for their commitment in doing what is asked of them.

He emphasized his utmost trust and confidence to Dela Rosa and his capability to lead the Haribon troops to attain and accomplish the command’s mission.

Dela Rosa was the 103rd deputy brigade commander and has served last year as the inspector general of the 1ID. (SunStar Zamboanga)
