TALISAY City Chamber Trade and Industry will hold a trade fair dubbed “Pasigarbo sa Pasko sa Talisay” on December 15 to 18.

The four-day event will be held at the Talisay City Hall grounds.

Cyril Velasco, head of City of Talisay-Chamber of Commerce Trade and Industry (CT-CCTI), said around 74 booths will be set up in the area, where traders can display their products.

Velasco said at least 71 percent of the booths have already been reserved.

Velasco added that the remaining 21 percent of the booths are open to non-CT-CCTI members and vendors who are not from Talisay.

“Gusto ta og quality nga trade fair mao na nga ato lang gilimit ang booth to cater sa atong mga bisita,” Velasco said.

(We want a quality trade fair, that’s why we limit the number of booths that will cater to visitors.)

The trade fair will highlight a cosplay and a car show, and other products manufactured by members of CT-CCTI.

There will also be performances by the different musical band groups to entertain the crowd.

Velasco said they are also planning to set aside a month for the celebration of the trade month.

Councilor Eduardo "Digul" Gullas III and Councilor Alito Bacaltos, chairman of the Committee on Trade, gave their support to the event because not only the businessmen will benefit from it but also the employees of City Hall.

In terms of making a resolution in the City Council that the trade fair will be held every month, Gullas said they will first observe whether or not the arrangement is feasible.

Jaycel Sato, vice president of CT-CCTI, said the fair will also provide jobs to the Talisaynons. (BBT, TPT)
