GO CEBU Grand Expo & Exhibit’s grand opening ceremony

CEBU Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI), through the Cebu Business Months (CBM) 2022 working team, forges forward with its 26th CBM celebration by holding a three-day GO CEBU Grand Expo & Exhibit at Ayala Center Cebu from November 4-6, 2022.

The event was officially launched with a Grand Opening Ceremony and Ribbon Cutting last No-vember 4, 10 a.m. at the Ayala Activity Center, in the presence of key stakeholders from the public and private sectors. Setting the tone for the event, CCCI President Charles Kenneth Co echoed the main goal of CBM 2022: “...to propel CCCI’s vision of generating beneficial results despite chal-lenging times to new and exhilarating heights—inspired by the theme “GO CEBU” with the ta-gline “Realign, Reinforce, Rebuild.”

Complementing his message, CBM 2022 Overall Chairperson Brigitte Carmel Lim shared the event’s rationale: “We are thrilled to bring you this 3-Day Grand Expo & Exhibit as a unique opportunity to showcase various Collaboration, Proactive Technology Development and Sustainability with the aim to challenge, invite, inspire and motivate both MSMEs and key play-ers in the areas of Tourism, ICT/BPM, Entrepreneurship, and the Creative Industry.”

Cebu City Mayor Mike Rama graced the grand opening ceremony with an inspiring and motivat-ing speech, encouraging all those present to do their part in achieving the vision of becoming a “Singapore-like” Cebu. Later in the program, he also shared a heartfelt rendition of the Visayan classic “Usahay,” during a live performance by Mandaue Estancia Ibabao Ukelele Ensemble.

The unveiling was done by a symbolic brush on the digital paintings revealing CBM’s Major Thrusts, Tourism, ICT/BPM, Entrepreneurship, and the Creative Industry.

Adding to the colorful and dynamic Opening Ceremony festivities, attendees and mall-goers were also treated to modern jazz and Sinulog dance performances, further showcasing world-class Cebuano talent.

As part of the opening festivities, a ceremonial paint brush and unveiling of the CBM’s major thrusts namely, Tourism, Entrepreneurship, ICT-BPM and Creative Entertainment by CBM 2022 Champions together with President Co and CBM 2022 official messaging app partner, Rakuten Viber.

The GO CEBU Grand Expo & Exhibit featured a wide range of goods, services, and cutting-edge technology from over 50 businesses representing the areas of Tourism, ICT/BPM, Entrepreneur-ship, and the Creative Industry. The three-day exhibition also included speaker presentations from business trailblazers to inspire MSME’s and aspiring entrepreneurs, as well as exciting and interactive activities spread over the three days.
