UNO-R law students join poster making contest

SOME law students of the School of Law of the University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos competed in the Poster Making contest that kicked off the commencement rites of the university week on Monday, November 14, 2022.

Five contestants namely Bernice Angela Aspa, John Lester Antiquiera, Rhea Kris Macabante, Jared Mark Lagahit and Irene Julia Monteposo, Bernice made their respective poster, which was anchored on the theme: “UNO-R School of Law, Rejuvenated: Fiercer, Bolder and Stronger.

Lawyer DodieTurla, Dean of the School of law led the celebration with the presence of Regional Trial Court Branch 41 Judge Fernand Castro, lawyer Irma Mari Castro, lawyer Marvin Tañada, who likewise served as the Board of Judges in the Poster Making contest participated by the school of law students.

Turla thanked everyone for participating in the university week activities, particularly the School of Law, the Barristers Club and JD L21 students led by Engineer Lea Joy Hiponia, Zahara Nica Ojoy, Portia Marie Yvony Centeno, Carlo Marañon, Iya Villaluna.

“The School of Law is now participating in the university week by having its activities in place throughout the entire week of celebration. But more than getting involved, the participation of the law students serves as a reprieve that they badly needed for them to realize that they are also human beings, normal at that,” he said.
