Covid-19 vaccine supply in Oro limited

THE City Health Office is appealing to the unvaccinated or partly vaccinated residents in Cagayan de Oro to get their free vaccine shots.

According to City Health Office Immunization Program Coordinator Dr. Ina Grace Chiu, they currently have a limited vaccine supply.

The Department of Health (DOH) confirmed in an advisory sent to all their local offices that the nationwide vaccination program will end on December 31, 2022.

Chiu said they still don't have word on what vaccines they will receive or if these will be donated or if they will have to buy the vaccines.

A total of 173,721 residents of Cagayan de Oro have already secured their third dose or first dose, while 25,064 received their fourth dose or second booster. as of November 12, 2022, Chiu said.

She added that as of November 13, 2022, 82,890 Kagay-anons have been vaccinated since the start of the administration of City Mayor Rolando "Klarex" Uy.

At present, Cagayan de Oro has one remaining mega vaccination site in Limketkai Mall.
