Misamis execs to benchmark Pampanga's best practices

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO Several officials from the Province of Misamis Oriental visited Pampanga yesterday to personally study the province's best practices in the field of quarry operations.

Third District Board Member Jun Canlas, with 1st District Board Member Benny Jocson, 2nd District Board Member Fritzie David-Dizon, 3rd District Board Member Mica Gonzales, 4th District Board Members Nelson Calara and Pol Balingit, and ex-officio Board Members Cherry Manalo and Gabby Mutuc met the Misamis officials and the quarry industry in the province was discussed.

Misamis Oriental Board Member Gerardo Sabal III said the purpose of their visit to the province is to learn how to improve quarry operations and revenue generation in Misamis Oriental.

"We have read and have asked reliable sources that the Province of Pampanga has a very good system with regards to its quarry operations. That is why our governor, Gov. Peter Unabia, decided to hold our benchmarking, because in our province, we also have quarrying operations, but it needs to be improved," Sabal said.

He also thanked Governor Dennis "Delta" Pineda, Vice Governor Lilia "Nanay" Pineda, and members of the Provincial Council for their warm welcome upon their arrival in the province.
