The three Sherilin-Unisol squads ended their respective elimination round campaigns on high notes as they took down their opponents in the Metro Cebu Basketball League (MCBL) Season 7 last Sunday at the Benedicto College gym.
Sherilin-Unisol 1 completed a clean 7-0 sweep of all their games in Group A following their 164-90 win over Boss Driving School. Dennise Mark dela Cerna sizzled for 41 points, seven assists, five steals, four rebounds, and a block in the dominant victory for the Richard Mercado-owned squad.
Meanwhile, Sherilin-Unisol 2 finished their campaign in Group C on a strong note as they picked up two victories to finish with a 5-2 card. They routed Angel Mary Pawnshop, 94-74, with Kline Ochavo notching 17 points, four rebounds, five assists, and four steals. They also vanquished Bigatin Trading, 84-74, as Kenneth Niones had 15 points, five boards, and three assists.
StorageTown ended with the best record in Group C at 6-1 as they too picked up two wins. They first routed Angel Mary, 94-79, thanks to Ivan Cabodbod’s 19 points, three boards, two assists, and two steals. before dismantling Maxprint, 87-75.
In Group D, Sherilin-Unisol 3 nipped Aquilla Consumer Goods Trading, 87-86, to come away as the top team in their group. Marcial Aves had 22 points, five rebounds, two assists, and three steals.
Sherilin-Unisol ended up with a 6-1 card after IsoRep beat them, 105-98. Korvinian Herz played like a man amongst boys in that game, tallying 29 points, 21 rebounds, five assists, four steals, and three blocks.
