Team Talisay booked a spot in the finals of the Professional Youth Basketball Fellowship Basketball Advocacy (PYFBA) Season 20 as they got past Tinapang Manok sa Sugbo, 91-73, in the semifinals last Sunday at the Capitol Parish gym.
Team Talisay got off to a fast start and led by as much as 30 points before Tinapang Manok threatened in the second half, cutting the deficit in half. However, veteran guard Juntay Bardilas canned a couple of crucial three-pointers in the fourth period to stem the tide and guide Team Talisay to the victory.
Wilfred Racaza scored 17 points to lead Team Talisay, while Talisay City Mayor, Samsam Gullas, added 13 markers. Veteran cagers Ricky Labajo and Tristan Rama pitched in with 13 and 11 points, respectively.
