THE City of Naga Police Station in southern Cebu will start offering the National Police Clearance (NPC) on Monday, November 28, 2022.

Lieutenant Colonel Junnel Caadlawon, station chief, urged residents who want to secure one to log in to pnpclearance.ph and fill up the online application and make an online appointment.

He said they can pay through the Landbank of the Philippines, Bayad Express, SM Bayad Center, Cebuana Lhuillier Pawnshop, Palawan Pawnshop, RD Pawnshop, Paymaya, GCash, BDO Unibank, etc.

He said they can then go to the police station and present two valid IDs, the reference number and the official receipt of the police clearance payment on their scheduled appointment.

Their photo, fingerprints, digital signature and biometrics will be taken at the station, he said.

Once their application is verified, a police officer will check their biometrics and criminal records against the Philippine National Police (PNP) database. If their application is successful, they will be required to go through another verification process. Once this is resolved, their police clearance will be released, he said.

Meanwhile, Caadlawon said he was glad that the City of Naga Police Station was chosen to offer the NPC.

“Lipay mi kay nindot ni nga programa kaya tong katawhan dinhi dili na sila mahasol (We’re happy because it’s a nice program and the people will not be bothered. Magpa-register lang sa (All they have to do is register) online,” he said.

The web-based National Police Clearance System, which was inaugurated in August 2018, allows Filipinos to obtain a police clearance in less than 10 minutes at any time as it is linked to the PNP database, which makes the process of confirming an applicant’s criminal history and biometric information much more efficient.
