AN ALLEGED notorious robber was arrested by roving policemen from Mabolo Police Station after he was caught victimizing a call center agent on Saturday evening, November 26, on Samar Loop, Ayala Business Center, Barangay Hipodromo, Cebu City.
Police Major Eraño Regidor of Mabolo Police Station identified the suspect as Bryl Sumalinog, 26, of Ponce 1, Barangay Carreta.
According to Regidor, his men who conducted a roving patrol in the area heard the victim, Estelita Atamosa, 21, who hails from Barili town but temporarily residing in Hipodromo, shout for help at 10:45 p.m. Saturday.
The police were able to corner the suspect who was about to flee.
The victim’s cellular phone worth P14,000 and a 10-inch knife were recovered from the suspect.
Regidor said Sumalinog is known in Barangay Carreta as a “notorious robber” and a drug user. (AYB, TPT)
