CITY OF SAN FERNANDO More than 2,000 Kapampangans from Candaba, Lubao and Magalang towns recently received cash aid from the Department of Labor and Employment's (DOLE) "Tulong Pangkabuhayan sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers" or Tupad.

On Monday, November 28, DOLE-Pampanga Director Arlene Tolentino disclosed that some 2,206 residents have benefitted from the P9.11 million allocation who rendered 10-day community services including declogging of canals, debris clearing, segregation and cleaning operations.

The beneficiaries were farmers, fisher folks, vendors, laborers and other underemployed workers, who each received P4,500.

Tolentino added DOLE is looking forward to reaching more Kapampangans deserving of the assistance.

“We still have remaining allocation pending for implementation within the year,” she said.
