VENDORS beside the Sta. Teresa de Avila Church in Barangay Poblacion, Talisay City have to transfer to the newly finished multi-purpose building across the plaza in the same barangay if they want to continue selling.
The area that they currently occupy is subject to a road clearing on Thursday, December 1, 2022, upon orders of the Department of the Interior and Local Government.
Poblacion Barangay Captain Edward Alesna has been facilitating the move with the assistance of Jane Enrile of the City Licensing Office and Edwin Nierves, a task force member.
Alesna said they prioritized vendors who are barangay residents.
He said he hopes everyone will comply with the order to transfer because the task force will not hesitate to confiscate their wares and demolish their stalls that encroach on the road. (BBT, PJB)
