Lacson: One Family Under God: 2022 Global Peace Festival

The Global Peace Foundation Philippines is holding the Global Peace Festival this coming December 3 as well as the Global Peace Leadership Conference on December 1 to 3 here in Clark, Pampanga. With the theme “One Family Under God: A Vision For a World of Freedom and Peace” this endeavor is a timely opportunity for us to address not only the various challenges that nations of the world experience but, the many unfortunate circumstances that our young generation are facing nowadays.

This 3-day event will bring together over 15,000 Philippine and international multisector participants including peace practitioners and experts, educators, student and youth leaders, religious leaders, civil society leaders, governmental stakeholders, NGOs, school administrators, and media representatives from Philippines and other countries to share best practices and lessons learned. The festival will highlight the Philippine national motto, Maka-Diyos, Maka-tao, Makakalikasan at Makabansa (For God, People, Nature, and Country). The motto has been interpreted as embodying a set of common core Filipino values, with each of the four being connected to one another.

Global Peace Festival is a gathering of Global Peace Advocates, which provides a global platform in sharing best practices while developing collaborative multi-sector partnerships for the promotion of sustainable peace and development. Drawing upon the expertise of government, corporate, NGO and civil society partners in the host country, and involving stakeholders from over 20 countries in which Global Peace Foundation has field offices, Global Peace Conventions address critical issues and concerns toward the development of innovative solutions in key strategic areas, to include peacebuilding, youth leadership development, education, volunteerism, and community-driven development.

The Global Peace Leadership Conference is a three day strategic high level conference that will build consensus on response towards pressing regional and international challenges guided by a shared vision, principles, aspirations, and an innovative values based approach to improving the economy, education, security, leadership at all levels of society, youth productivity, and women empowerment as well as address community development needs
