Mabalacat City to launch Christmas Village on Dec 2

MABALACAT CITY The city government is set to launch its Christmas Village today, December 2.

With a theme “Magarbong Crismas 2022,” the holiday village located at the three-hectare open lot beside San Raphael Church, MacArthur Highway in Barangay Mabiga, features various attractions including a 30-foot giant Christmas tree, a nine-foot long Santa Claus statue and life-sized candy canes, and presents for everyone to enjoy.

The Mabalacat City Government (MCG) Christmas Village will also house carnival rides, inflatable playground and bazaars as well as Christmas-themed musical presentations, concerts and programs.

MCG will also hold Christmas-themed costume competitions for kids and pets/pet owners, a chorale competition, dance contest, parlor games and more.

The MCG-General Services Office, City Engineer's Office, CHO, Public Safety Office, MCTEG, City Planning, City Environment and Natural Resources Office, CDRRMO, CIO, and City Tourism and Promotions Office, in partnership with the Sibul ning Kalalangan artist group, worked hand-in-hand in making sure that the Christmas Village is set to be launched to the public.

City Administrator Franco Alejo Madlangbayan also inspected the area days prior to ensure the safety and security of Mabalaquenians and non-Mabalaquenian visitors.

The MCG Christmas Village ceremonial launching today at 5:00PM will be followed by a comedy show/sing along, paskong harana, and a grand fireworks display.

Mayor Crisostomo Garbo along with the members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod, headed by Vice Mayor Gerald Guttrie Aquino, the MCG department heads and local government employees are expected to grace the said event. #
