VOLLEYBALL Friends Games and Events hosted the Joyeux Noel 3X3 Men’s Sand Volleyball Season 3: The True North of Cebu Volleyball tournament on Nov. 30, 2022 at Wiggy’s Beach Resort in Barangay Jubay, Liloan, Cebu.

The sports event is a one-day yuletide-season invitational holiday event for the phenomenal volleyball players of the Queen City of the South.

Out of the 12 pre-selected teams, team Salih emerged as the champions. First runner-up was team MJC All-Stars. Second runner-up was Team Mugna.

Team Salih is composed of Dominique Gabito, Rommel Pepito, Esmundo Gabito, Arisa Fernandez and Kim Bataluna.

In the championship match, notable players showcased their talents: Dominique Gabito and Rommel Pepito of Team Salih and Rafol Sico and Cyril Sumalinog of Team MJC All-Stars were deemed the stars of their respective teams.

There were individual awards given to participants after the tournament:

Best Setter: Kervin Maquilang; Best Server: Arisa Fernandez; Best Blocker: Dominique Gabito; Best Spiker: Rommel Pepito; Best Receiver: Arisa Fernandez; Best Digger: Cyril Sumalinog; and Most Valuable Player: Dominique Gabito.

The winning teams were awarded with cash prizes, plaques, certificates, medals and gifts. (PR)
