FIVE drug personalities were arrested by the police in Bacolod City Thursday and yesterday, December 1 and 2, respectively.

The police identified the arrested suspects as Reynold De Guzman, 41, a resident of Purok Balunggay, Barangay Zone 3, Murcia; Jason Miag-ao, 26, of Purok Coca-Cola, Barangay 7; Ana Marie Soqueño, 52, of Purok Chereza 2, Barangay 27; Robert Serillo, 22, of Purok Roadside, Barangay Alijis; Jeffrey Guilas 40, of Purok Langis in Barangay Banago.

De Guzman and Miag-ao were arrested by operatives of Police Station 2 after one of them sold a sachet of shabu to a poseur buyer at Purok Kagaykay, Barangay 2 past 10 p.m. Thursday.

Policemen recovered from the suspects’ possession 18 sachets of suspected shabu weighing five grams with estimated market value of P34, 000, the P300 marked money and a coin purse.

Serillo was also simultaneously arrested by operatives of Police Station 7 at Bangga Metal, Barangay Alijis on the same date and recovered from him five sachets of suspected shabu weighing eight grams with estimated market value of P54, 400 and the P500 marked money.

Earlier that day, Soqueño was arrested by operatives of Police Station 4 at Purok Chereza 2 in Barangay 2 with four big plastic sachets of suspected shabu weighing 15 grams with estimated market value of P102,000 and the P500 marked money at about 5 p.m.

The police said Sequeno was identified as high value individual while three others were also identified as street level individuals in Bacolod City.

Meanwhile, Guilas, who is also known as alias “Tots” was collared at about 5 p.m. yesterday at his residence with eight sachets of the banned substance weighing about 2.1 grams and valued at P14,280.

The suspects are detained at the custodial facility of Police Stations 2, 4 and 7. They will be charged for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (MAP)
